Top 10 Gifts For Moms-To-Be

Christmas will soon be here, and everyone is looking for the perfect gift. If you are a mom-to-be, here are some items you can add to your wish list!

  1. Friday Mom has a whole line of amazing products for moms after birth, but one of the products that is always a favourite is the Upside Down Peri Bottle! A peri bottle is made to spray water as you pee after birth, making it sting a whole lot less.

  2. Haakaa is another brand that has many amazing products. The silicon pump is usually the first that comes to mind when you hear the name but the product I think is very underrated is the Ladybug milk collectors. These are so handy for collecting any milk that may be leaking.

  3. Anyone who has taken the Prenatal Classes or Newborn Care Classes knows I LOVE velcro swaddles. They are my favourite for new babies and are my go-to gift for baby showers.

  4. Stretchy wraps are another one of those amazing products that I am always raving about. The LÍLLÉbaby Dragonfly Wrap is one that many of my clients have loved.

  5. Babies can easily get congested, and for that, the HydraSense Nasal Aspirator is great.

  6. Yes, this pillow will take up more than half your bed, and your partner may not be a fan of it, but pregnancy pillows are so worth it! Sleep during pregnancy is hard enough as it is. This can make it easier for you.

  7. Breastfeeding can be hard on your nipples, and there are many creams that can help with that, but if you get to the point that you have cracked or bleeding nipples, you will want to have these on hand! The Medela Tender Care Hydrogel Pads are an absolute godsend in the early days!

  8. I shared my favourite velcro swaddles above, but sometimes you need a light blanket! The Aden + Anais Muslin blankets are amazing. They can be used as a nursing cover, sun shade, and of course, to swaddle baby.

  9. If you are interested in cloth diapers, this is a great little bundle to start off your collection with. First, they are adorable. Second, they come with a wet bag and a roll of liners, but lastly, La Petite Ourse is a small Canadian business, which makes supporting them just that much sweeter!

  10. Last but certainly not least, the Ballet Bra from Bravado was my favourite nursing bra and is still a bra I regularly wear even though my youngest is 9 years old!

None of these recommendations were paid by the businesses listed, nor do they even know they are being listed. I do get a small amount if you do buy directly from the Amazon links. For issues such as cracked nipples, you should consult a lactation consultant to address the reason for the cracks while repairing the damage.
